Course overview

The ROC programme will allow any Airport Fire Service to revalidate the units and elements outlined in CAP 699 that cannot be carried out at that aerodrome due to lack of facility or other considerations. The programme is bespoke to the risk faced by your airport and can be tailored to the category of aircraft movements at that aerodrome.

The specifics of the elements and assessment criteria will be provided in accordance with CAP 699 and will undergo Internal Quality Validation at FSC, and, starting from summer 2023, External Quality Validation through Skills for Justice. This enhancement offers your airport the added advantage of independent performance verification.

Tailored training

The practical aspect of this proposal is designed to offer your airport flexibility in maintaining competence, either utilising the outstanding facilities at FSC or conducting exercises at your site. It will enable responding firefighters, crew, and watch commanders to practise Command and Control in incident scenarios tailored to the specific Integrated Risk profile of your aerodrome. These scenarios will be both challenging and true-to-life, enhancing the training experience.
