This course utilises a blended learning approach over a 6 week period with 10 days of guided learning spent at the FSC. It is accredited to the Skills for Justice Award in Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Service (QCF).
The Award consists of three Units:
The main objective of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to design and deliver incident command training. The qualification is aimed at incident command trainers for emergency services including: fire and rescue, police, military, ambulance and others. It reflects the aim of the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) to standardise multi-agency command of incidents.
This course has the following pre-entry requirement:
Successful completion will result in the award of the Skills for Justice Awards, Level 5 Award in Designing and Delivering Incident Command Training. This is a nationally recognised qualification developed by The Fire Service College through Skills for Justice Awards.
