This course extends the topics introduced in FSSCFSP and is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the principles of smoke control in complex buildings, designed in accordance with various codes of practice, to enable them to give appropriate advice on request and to assess proposed fire safety solutions.

The use of dedicated software allows the delegate to evaluate the effectiveness of the design of SHEVs in more complex situations than was possible in FSSCIO.
Delegates' acquisition of knowledge will be formally assessed during the course and feedback will be given. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course.
This course is aligned to National Occupational Standards FSA1, FSB3, FSB4 and FSB5, FSC1 and FSC2
Successful completion of this course will also result in the learners receiving 31 Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) Continual Professional Development (CPD) hours.
