This course is designed for any delegate who may be required to take action in the event of fire, and to help management meet their responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform Order. The core skills required will be developed through a combination of theory practice, and will utilise portable firefighting equipment on live fires in a controlled and safe environment.

This course is designed for members of staff who have been nominated to carry out the duties of Fire Marshal/Fire Warden in the workplace, e.g. a business; commercial premises; healthcare, educational, entertainment premises etc.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires employers to nominate, where necessary, a sufficient number of employees to carry out specific duties in case of fire. The duties may include organising evacuations, assisting with fire drills and the use of portable fire fighting equipment. Nominated persons must be trained to perform their duties competently and safely. The FSC Fire Marshal course is delivered in line with the National Occupational Standards for Fire Safety and will provide your members of staff with the relevant skills and knowledge to meet the regulatory requirements.
The course is assessed by a combination of direct observation by the course director and a short multiple choice questionnaire. Delegates will receive a Fire Service College Certificate of Attendance.
The course is underpinned by the following National Occupational Standards FSA 1, FSA 2 & FSA 3 Delegates can develop further by attending the Fire Management and Fire Risk Assessment courses.
