This course is designed for personnel with a requirement to respond to an emergency fire or rescue situation under the guidance of the Team Leader, and covers the skills and techniques that are required to safely respond to an onsite emergency situation.
On successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to:

Organisations are well aware of the implications of emergency situations at their place of work with regards to injuries to personnel, the surrounding community, the environment and the potential loss of business. This structured course will provide the individual with the basics of firefighting and use of breathing apparatus allowing them to become a useful member of their organisation's emergency response team, offering challenging training scenarios in realistic situations.
Assessment is carried out during practical exercises by competent and experienced training staff. This assessment will be ongoing throughout the course against specific assessment criteria, using direct questioning and observation. A written examination will also form part of the assessment criteria.
This course is accredited by Joint Oil and Industrial Fire (JOIFF).
