Whilst accredited by the Fire Service College, this course will also benefit holders of the NEBOSH National General Certificate (NGC1) who wish to also undertake the Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.
Learners will receive an excellent grounding in core fire safety principles and skills, and be provided with opportunities to put these into practice in realistic scenarios.
Assessment is carried out by submission of a post course Fire Risk Assessment to a template that the learner will be issued with. Upon successful completion of this, the learner will be awarded a Fire Service College Fire Risk Assessor qualification.
Should the learner wish, they may also undertake the NEBOSH examination and practical Fire Risk Assessment activity to gain the FC1 and FC2 elements of the Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management. This is arranged separately by the learner.
This course is recognised by the Institution of Fire Engineers and will contribute towards an application to be included on their register of Fire Risk Assessors and Auditors.
