This course contains a number of eLearning modules that include a range of interactive elements for learning and assessment, and with a learning design that is immersive and bespoke, trainers are introduced to the content in an engaging way. The learning material is also responsive and accessible on any device, providing a flexible one-stop solution to learning. The assessment elements compromise of informal knowledge checks to help trainers gauge their understanding of the material, as well as formal assessments to measure overall comprehension.
The course is made up of eight mandatory units:
The course is aimed at personnel who are about to take up a position or who are responsible for the delivery of training within their organisation, and who wish to create an interactive learning environment within a structured framework.
Once you have completed the online course, you will be asked to deliver a presentation of 15 minutes duration on a fire service-related subject. During the course you will also be asked to complete a number of short micro teach sessions and upload them to the FSC Learning Management System. The FSC will review all your micro teach sessions and award either a pass or fail and provide feedback.
You should aim to complete the course within 30 days of booking. During this time, you can take as many attempts as you like. Please note, after 30 days your booking will expire, and you will have to repurchase the training course.
