Course overview and learning outcomes

During this course, we will educate delegates on Active Shooter, Hostile Event and provides best practice advice. This will include a walkthrough of emergency procedures for dealing with an Active Shooter, Hostile Event and real-world advice on what can happen. The course will look at both the initial Emergency Response to an Active Shooter event, but then also the after effects and how to support your staff who might be impacted.

The objectives of this training course are to provide students with:

  • An overview of Active Shooter, Hostile Event Response (ASHE) in the Workplace
  • Review current best practice across the World
  • Understand Individual responses and responsibilities
  • Look for gaps in organisational understanding
  • Develop a policy pointer for Active Shooter, Hostile Event Response
  • Assess Emergency Response Plans for ASHE
  • Look at event phases: Readiness, Response, Recovery
  • Look at Application of Crisis command for ASHE events

How is the course assessed and accredited?
