Says Darren Muir, Crew Commander at Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue service who immersed himself in the virtual FLAIM scenarios at Emergency Services Show in Birmingham last week.
Darren was one of the many fire service professionals who tried the latest version of FLAIM Trainer and immediately saw the strong added value in including it in firefighter BA training.
It is widely believed that hot fire training is an indispensable part of firefighter education. The virtual FLAIM Trainer, however, can improve competency by offering a large variety of realistic, immersive scenarios enabling firefighters to train their branch handling techniques before putting their newfound skills to the test in a hot fire container safely and effectively.
FLAIM Trainer was introduced to the delegates at the Emergency Services Show by the Fire Service College. Ted O'Brien, Director of Product & Quality said, "The adoption of the FLAIM Trainer by the Fire Service College is another example of the continuous strive for innovation at the College". James Mullins, FLAIM Systems Founder and CEO added, "We look forward to working together with the Fire Service College as FLAIM System's Sales and Support Partner for the UK and Ireland."
The College will be introducing the FLAIM Trainer system into our curriculum in the coming months. Fire and rescue services in the UK and Ireland are invited to experience FLAIM Trainer in Moreton-in-Marsh or if preferred, can contact Ted O'Brien to discuss an on-site demonstration.
