Fire Engineer Bespoke Training

Fire Engineers from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) have completed a bespoke four week course at the College designed to raise their level of knowledge and understanding in this highly specialised area of fire safety. The course content covered national fire codes, fire suppression and detection systems, risk acceptance criteria and management, consequence and fire modelling.

Learners were provided with the underpinning knowledge and understanding required for the role of a fire engineer.  The blended programme, consisted of a variety of teaching and study methods, each of which aims to provide the learner with the maximum opportunity to get the most out of the intensive programme. It included classroom sessions involved teaching of theory and principles around the subject area, and practical learning both at the College and at offsite venues.

Fahad Al-Failakawi, Emergency Planner, Fire Engineer, KOC said: “We would like to offer our sincerest appreciation for the great and helpful time we had together at the Fire Service College.  The course has reached its targets and this is backed-up by the great learner feedback. The course shows the Fire Service College commitment to continual improvement, to developing the quality of its training courses and in meeting its clients’ training requirements in the future.”
