Fire Engineers from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) have completed a bespoke four week course at the College designed to raise their level of knowledge and understanding in this highly specialised area of fire safety. The course content covered national fire codes, fire suppression and detection systems, risk acceptance criteria and management, consequence and fire modelling.
Learners were provided with the underpinning knowledge and understanding required for the role of a fire engineer. The blended programme, consisted of a variety of teaching and study methods, each of which aims to provide the learner with the maximum opportunity to get the most out of the intensive programme. It included classroom sessions involved teaching of theory and principles around the subject area, and practical learning both at the College and at offsite venues.
