It has been another busy weekend here at the College with several events taking place on our grounds.
170 volunteers acted as ‘casualties’ during a large-scale hazardous materials decontamination exercise.
167 runners took to the sports field to take part in our weekly, 5km, parkrun event. Participants this week, however, donned animal-themed costumes in support of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust who attended the event to promote the work they are doing to encourage healthy habitats for wildlife.
190 juniors from Stratford-upon-Avon Athletics Club took part in a number of triathlons across the College site. The event offered a variety of race distances to cater for juniors aged from 8 to 16 years old and utilised the on-site pool, internal road network and playing field.
16 officer fire cadets from London Fire Brigade attended a 2-day training weekend sponsored by Securitas. During their time at the College, the cadets were able to take part in a range of training exercises including; fire behaviour, road traffic collision and breathing apparatus and live casualty scenarios.
