After 4 months and 7 months of training respectively, learners from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) have graduated from the International Fire Officer Development Programme run by the College.
The course offers the opportunity to develop effective command skills and techniques across a range of operational sectors. The College delivers dedicated incident command, effective team leadership and structured management processes to enable learners to carry out functional leadership in the fire service sector.
Richard Johnes, Service Delivery and Contracts Manager, Fire Service College said “The College has an international reputation for excellence in training emergency responders worldwide. The learners should take great pride in their hard work and the commitment that they have shown throughout the Programme. The behaviours and professional standards they have been taught will be an example and inspiration to those they will work with in years to come. It has been a pleasure to witness the development of these two groups over the past months.”
In addition to the significant achievement of undertaking such extensive study in a foreign language, the learners from both courses graduated with specific internationally recognised NFPA modules with ProBoard accreditation.
