The catalogue lists everything in the Library’s physical collections, including many journal articles. There is an advanced search facility available for searching for specific details, for example, author, title, publisher, year of publication, or a combination of keywords.

Specialist collections

As  you’d expect in one of the world’s leading firefighting training facilities, our Library holds a comprehensive collection covering fire technology, fire engineering, fire safety, disaster management, management techniques, hazardous materials, training and education.

The Library also has an extensive archive collection of historical fire-related material dating back to the 19th Century. Among the collection highlights are every edition of journals such as Fire and Water, Fireman, and Fire Magazine. There is also a selection of Alfred Robert Tozer’s log books and miscellaneous papers.

Journal subscriptions

We have a range of up to date journals dedicated to the subject of firefighting. This includes the following titles: Crisis Response, Emergency Services Times, Fire, Fire and Rescue, Fire Fighter, and Fire Risk Management.
