Further your fire risk assessment practice.

This course is designed for those with existing experience of assessing low‑risk premises and acts as the natural next step in developing competence for moderate‑risk environments. It strengthens professional judgement, reflective CPD, and mentoring capability while deepening knowledge of fire hazards, safety measures, and reporting in line with BS 8674:2025. Learners build the advanced skills, behaviours, and ethical standards needed to operate confidently as fire risk assessors.

Entry requirements

Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent and working experience at this level.

Delivery format

A blended, learner‑centred approach combining bite‑sized online learning with expert‑led virtual and face‑to‑face sessions at the college, enhanced by immersive 3D models and supported portfolio development. The course extends over 9 days with 5 days face to face. The assessment consists of written exams, completion of a fire risk assessment, a professional discussion and a CPD portfolio.
