Course overview

This Level 2 qualification, developed with the NFCC and Fire & Rescue Services, equips operational personnel with skills to carry out fire safety checks effectively and escalate issues appropriately.

A nationally recognised qualification to provide knowledge and skills to those who have the responsibility for undertaking fire safety checks. Build confidence and competence to identify and report fire safety risks.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualification requirements for this course, however you need to be an operational firefighter.

  • Written knowledge test and simulated practical assessment via LMS. 
  • Duration: 3 day virtual classroom delivery.

Certification awarded

SFJ Level 2 Award in Carrying Out Fire Safety Checks.
