Course overview

Train to take control of aviation emergencies through development in Level 1 command roles and critical incident functions.

This five‑day practical programme prepares aviation firefighters to step into the role of Crew Commander, developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to operate as a Level 1 Incident Commander. Through a combination of theory, immersive simulations, and live fire‑ground assessments, the course builds confidence, command presence, and sound decision‑making under pressure. By the end, learners will be fully equipped to lead, coordinate, and safely manage incidents in an aviation emergency environment.
