The environment during the COVID-19 crisis continues to move quickly. Our priority, always, is to protect the welfare of all colleagues, our clients and societies where we operate. We have been working hard to ensure we continually adapt to the changing landscape as well as government guidance for a safe service delivery at the College. We are in a position where necessary conduct guidance and safety measures are in place, and have now reopened the Fire Service College site to provide essential training.
It is critical that our approach continues to be carefully measured and puts the safety of our people and our delegates first. With this in mind, we will carefully manage volumes of staff and delegates on site.
To support this programme and ensure we are fully compliant with the government guidance at all times, we have taken a series of measures and changes to our working environment. We have introduced a zero-tolerance policy for anyone failing to follow these measures resulting in immediate removal from site.
Over the recent weeks we have transitioned part of our offering to virtual learning modes, and in all instances where this is possible, and we will maintain this delivery method. Only delegates attending an essential face to face training and staff supporting its delivery will be permitted on our site.
Our approach will remain careful and measured. We will continue to keep you updated on progress.
