A massive thank you to everyone, including College staff, visitors, learners and local businesses who supported the College fundraising bake sale and raffles last week, raising an amazing £538 in aid of the 2019 Stand Up To Cancer Great Bake off!
Fund raising included two raffles for a Mother’s Day hamper and an Easter hamper based on a College based treasure hunt, a bake sale and a “Bake-off” competition won by Carole Jeffcock, College Librarian, for her chocolate cake.
Sally Andrews, the moving force behind the event said: “We had a great response to our fund raising day and I can’t thank everyone enough for their help in making the event a great success. In true College style, the team pulled together, rolled up their sleeves and got baking for the cake sale, and the “show stopping” creations were outstanding, local businesses and staff generously donated raffle items. It was a real joint effort and as Stand Up To Cancer says every last crumb raised will go to support vital cancer research.”
Local businesses contributing to the hampers included: the Redesdale and White Hart Hotels, The Greedy Goose, Batsford Arboretum, Fosseway Garden Centre, Baytree Florist, Klass, Cotswold Cards and Gifts, Moreton-in-Marsh branches of Boots, Tesco, Co-op, Budgens and Morrisons.
