Road Traffic Collision Instructor course receives a repair

The College has recently developed its Road Traffic Collision Instructor course to ensure that it addresses the increasing complexity of incidents and is also conducted in line with best practice.

With drastic improvements in car safety over the last 5 years, FRSs often face far greater challenges in extricating casualties safely from vehicles. To enhance the training experience, the College uses modern, collision damaged vehicles in all scene-planning, providing authentic scenarios.

Set in a new purpose-built area, learners can respond to challenges and problems that face them, within relative comfort, ensuring full attention can be given to the task at hand.

Trained actors take part as casualties in many scenes, providing not only an added sense of realism to the exercise, but also the opportunity for feedback on the level of patient care from the casualty’s point of view.

The College runs RTCI courses throughout the year at its training facility in Moreton-in-Marsh.
