Pro Board® approves further Fire Service College NFPA accreditations

 

The Fire Service College, has received Pro Board approval for accreditation to certify to 11 National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) professional qualification standards. The US based NFPA is a leading world authority on fire prevention and safety. The College is the only fire service training organisation in Europe to have been awarded Pro Board accreditation to certify to NFPA standards.

The specific standards and levels the College can now test and certify against are:

  • NFPA 1001 Standard for Firefighter 1
  • NFPA 1001 Standard for Firefighter2
  • NFPA 1002 Standard for Driver Awareness - Pumper & Aerial
  • NFPA 1006 Standard for Rope Rescue 1
  • NFPA 1006 Standard for Rope Rescue 2
  • NFPA 1021 Standard for Fire Officer 1
  • NFPA 1021 Standard for Fire Officer 2
  • NFPA 1031 Standard for Fire Inspector 1
  • NFPA 1041 Standard for Fire Instructor 1
  • NFPA 1521 Standard for Incident Safety Officer
  • NFPA 1006 Standard for Confined Space 1
  • NFPA 1006 Standard for Confined Space 2
  • NFPA 1031 Standard for Plans Examiner 1
  • NPFA 1033 Standard for Fire Investigation
  • NFPA 472 Standard for Hazmat Awareness
  • NFPA 472 Standard for Hazmat Operations Core
  • NFPA 472 Standard for Hazmat Technician

The accreditation is the Pro Board stamp of approval of the College’s test certification processes and procedures which tests the knowledge, skills and abilities of learners wishing to be certified to NFPA standards. Through this accreditation, the College can provide official Pro Board certificates to fire service members who have demonstrated a competency with professional qualifications.
