Sales Administrator

Position Overview

The role is part of an already established Sales and Marketing Team and will assist the UK, International, and Conference and Events sales team to develop and maintain a business stream for training at the Fire Service College.  In addition to supporting the winning of new business, the role encompasses the day to day administrative management of many contracts and the Open Programme of College courses.  This is an office based position combining sales, customer liaison and the administration of bookings with internal process management.

Principal Accountabilities

The Sales Coordinator will assist Account Managers in securing enquiries, whilst ensuring accurate information is distributed to key stakeholders in a timely manner.  The Sales Coordinator will assist the Product Management team in supporting tender responses and will support the processing of Conference and Events bookings. 

Specific activities include:

  • Manage day to day bookings and maintain records for all current contracts.
  • Ensure all incoming emails and calls are dealt with quickly and effectively.
  • Process business enquiries quickly and effectively, monitoring their progress through close liaison with other key stakeholders, notably the Resourcing team, Account and the Product Managers.
  • Ensure that all internal systems, in particular the CRM, are updated to accurately reflect customer details and requirements which is key to accurate forecasting and the smooth transition of enquiries.
  • Provide back office support to Account and Product Managers, organising some external customer meetings, supplying statistical data and collating key information.
  • Draft customer specific delivery contracts.
  • Proactively seek areas to improve both service and processes.
  • Ensure that all relevant health, safety and site security requirements are actively considered and adopted by customers when on site.

  • Focus on delivery and outcomes.
  • IT Literate on Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Mathematically literate and able to write emails and letters using appropriate language and grammar.
  • Customer service driven.


£16,000 -18,000 per annum depending upon experience
