This three-week residential programme, delivered in partnership with the National Chemical Emergency Centre (NCEC), equips officers with the confidence, competence, and compliance required to manage hazmat incidents in line with National Operational Guidance.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required for this course, however operational fire and rescue experience and a background in hazardous materials and/or incident command is recommended.

Practical scenarios, tabletop exercises and theory sessions.
Duration: 15 days residential programme on site at the Fire Service College.
