Take part in the inaugural Cotswold Autumn Walk to support Save
the Children being held at the Fire Service College.
Save The Children want to sign up walkers for their inaugural
Cotswold Autumn Walks to be held on Sunday 26th
September at the College, when walks to suit all ages and
fitness levels are on offer
The first is a one mile woodland walk along surfaced paths
through the private grounds of the college, not normally open to
the public. This route is ideal for buggies and wheelchair
users.
Also on offer is a four mile Sunday stroll through the ancient
Wolford wood to Great Wolford and returning via Lemington
Coppice. For the more serious walker, there is an eight mile
route from the college with a rest stop and refreshments at Little
Wolford. There is a modest entry fee (reduced for those
walkers who pre-register) and walkers are encouraged to raise
sponsorship as well.
Refreshments and stalls will be available at the College.
Registration is any time between 10am and 12 noon.
Full details are available at www.savethechildren.org.uk/cotswoldautumnwalks
or on 0121 588 0111.
Marilyn Payne, Supporter Group Coordinator for Save The
Children, said: "The Fire Service College provides an ideal base
for our three walks and we are indebted to the college for their
support. We hope to build on this small beginning to create a
major event which will be both fun for the walkers and a valuable
fund raising event for Save The Children".
Emma Lowe, Conference and Events Coordinator of The Fire Service
College, said: "We are delighted to be able to support such a
renowned charity as Save The Children with this fund raising
venture. We wish them every success and look forward to a
long and happy association with them".
