The Fire Service College
launches new 'customer-focussed' website
The Fire Service College has today (Monday 6 July) launched a
new website, which is easier to use for current and potential
customers of the award-winning training centre.
The College's new website, which has been developed with
in-house resources and expertise, will be used as a marketing tool,
with greater emphasis on customer focus.
It is designed to be more user-friendly and is divided into
sections reflecting the different customer groups, namely:
- UK Fire and Rescue Services
- Overseas Rescue Services
- Business & Industry
- Public Sector Agencies
The new site provides users with enhanced capability for
interaction with College, enabling them to submit enquiries about
courses and details of training needs, direct to the appropriate
sections of the organisation.
The new website also dovetails with content on the College's
online learning management system, FireLearn, with direct links
into individual course pages, or individual learner
accounts.
Sally Sheen, Chief Executive at The Fire Service College,
announced that the new website reflected recent changes at the
College.
She said: "The Fire Service College has long been at the heart
of the UK fire and rescue service, providing essential support
through the delivery of first class training to equip firefighters
in their vital role to protect and save lives."
"However, our excellent facilities and expert tuition are also
in demand from a wide range of other customers, including overseas
fire and rescue services, business and industry and other public
sector bodies."
"The new website has been designed to be easier to use for all
of our customers, providing them with quick and easy access to
information about all of the courses and training that we can offer
them."
"The new website reflects the re-energised Fire Service College
and its ability to flexibly meet all customer requirements, through
our programme of core courses or by developing bespoke training,
tailored to suit individual needs."
