FSC welcomes new operational officers to our sales team

The FSC is very pleased to welcome on secondment from Lancashire
F&RS two operational fire officers, Mark Winder and Matt
Armstrong, to join our Business Development Team. Previously
members of the Washington Hall management team, they will now
primarily be responsible for providing training solutions for our
private sector clients and supporting the UKFRS and International
sectors with their operational expertise.
As many of you will know, after many years of successfully
providing fire and rescue training both in the UK and overseas,
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service will no longer be offering its
training services on a commercial basis at Washington Hall training
and development centre from April 2012.
Mark and Matt will be working with existing clients from both
Washington Hall and the FSC to ensure the provision of high quality
accredited learning as well as development and maintenance of
skills assessment. This will include provision of customer specific
training as well as tailored training solutions.
The FSC is seeking to expand its existing customer base and
provide wider training support to UK industry, particularly in
respect of emergency response. Mark and Matt are also keen to
develop and establish national frameworks for industry sectors and
would therefore positively welcome partners from the nuclear power
generators, oil/gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical sectors to work
with them to develop industry standards for training and emergency
