The Fire Service College to unveil development
proposals
The Fire Service College is to unveil outline development
proposals for a healthcare facility and care village at a public
consultation exhibition, next week (15th and
16th July). The College proposes to develop some of its
land to generate capital funds to invest in its fire training
facilities.
The exhibition will provide an opportunity for local residents
to comment on the proposals and understand the college's rationale
for developing part of its site. There will also be an opportunity
to talk to leading members of the college's development team about
the proposals.
The Fire Service College's Chief Executive, Sally Sheen, said:
"The Fire Service College prides itself on being a leading provider
of training, both nationally and internationally. To compete for
business in a competitive market we must continue to improve our
facilities. Some of our accommodation is in urgent need of
modernisation and other aspects of our facilities require
investment. We are therefore bringing forward development proposals
with the duel aim of improving our facilities to safeguard the
College's future and to help meet a local care and healthcare
need."
Sally Sheen added: "We are keen to share our proposals with the
local community. We are holding an exhibition at Redesdale
Hall on 15th and 16th July and look forward
to welcoming anyone who is in interested in finding out more about
what is planned."
The exhibition will be held at Redesdale Hall, Moreton-in-Marsh
on:
Wednesday 15th July: 2.00pm - 7.00pm
Thursday 16th July: 2.00pm - 7.00pm
The College hopes to submit an outline planning application to
Cotswold District Council later this summer.
