The Fire Service College has become the first centre in Europe to achieve Pro Board accreditation to certify to the US based National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards.

Firefighter Foundation and Development
The Firefighter Foundation Development Programme (FFDP) is an intensive modular course focusing on realistic and practical training scenarios that develop the core skills required to be a safe and competent firefighter, laying the foundations for a successful career in the fire and rescue service.
Fire Service Operations
Operations training provides learners with the essential knowledge and skills that are required in specialist operational disciplines, including road traffic collision, urban search and rescue, high volume pump training and technical specialist rescue, using a blended learning approach within the classroom as well as challenging world-class incident ground venues.
Hazardous Materials courses (HazMat) provide emergency services and HazMat professionals with the necessary skills to keep the emergency services and commercial industry at the cutting edge of response to HazMat risks.
The FSC provides the latest world class incident command training facilities within the newly developed Simulation Suite, supported by tailor-made immersive BLUEHAWK™ technology.
Industrial FF and Pipeline Emergencies
We provide accredited, competency based training to the industrial safety industry, from basic technical operations through to strategic management level.

The FSC's International courses provide the opportunity for learners to acquire a broad range of core and enhanced emergency responder skills for both government and commercial sectors, ranging from initial response to strategic management.
Management & Leadership
These courses are designed to reinforce leadership, command and management learning, enabling aspiring and inexperienced managers to test themselves and develop confidence.
Prevention & Protection
Fire prevention, protection and safety training provides sector-appropriate qualifications. Courses are aimed at those in a variety of fire safety roles in fire, health and safety, business continuity and environmental protection sectors.
