Is your home safe?
Most fires in the home can be prevented by taking some basic and common-sense precautions. This section will help you to inspect your home for anything that could cause a fire. You can then take the necessary actions to protect your home and the people who live in it. You can request a home fire safety visit from your Fire & Rescue Service here.
Many Fire & Rescue Services offer a free home safety visit carried out by fire crews. The service is completely free and the crew who visit may be able to install a free smoke alarm.
Use this checklist to inspect your home for anything that could cause a fire. You can then take the necessary action to protect your home and the people who live in it.
This tool will help you assess the level of risk within your home and provides suggestions to help you reduce this risk.
