The Mess Club of the Fire Service College will be holding its
second 10K Race and Fun Run, which is back by popular demand and
this year is held in aid of CLIC Sargent.
The event takes place on Sunday 3 April, starting at 10.30am,
with gates open at 9.00am.
The route consists of two laps of our unique incident
ground where runners will be able to see training facilities such
as planes, trains, a shopping centre, and a ship, amongst
others.
The event is open to both serious and fun runners, as well as
families who fancy walking the route. Bourton Road Runners
have assisted the College by accurately measuring out the course
for those wishing to go for a personal best time.
Bob Ayers, President of the Mess Club, said "This is another
great opportunity to raise money for a worthwhile cause. CLIC
Sargent is the chosen charity for my year as President of the Mess
Club, and this event will be the highlight of our fundraising
calendar".
