FIRE & RESCUE 2010, Harrogate
29-30 June 2010
This year's Fire & Rescue Conference takes place at the
Harrogate International Centre, Kings Road, Harrogate.
Hosted by the Chief Fire Officers' Association (CFOA), the Fire
Protection Association (FPA) and the Institution of Fire Engineers
(IFE), the Fire & Rescue Conference is the UK's main
opportunity for senior officers and leading figures to come
together to discuss the future strategy and direction of the Fire
& Rescue Service.
Throughout the 2010 Conference, entitled 'Leading a lean
and effective Fire & Rescue Service' there will also
be a Fire & Rescue 2010 Seminar Programme which is free to
attend and takes place over the two days in three theatre
areas:
- the FIRESA pavilion
- the Best Practice Area and
- the FIRE & RESCUE Learning Zone
The College is delighted to be providing two speakers for the
Seminar sessions.
On Tuesday 29 June from 15.10 - 15.40 hrs Jeff Marwood,
Group Manager Tutor, Specialist Hazmat Section, will make a
presentation entitled 'Dealing with hazardous materials -
Development in Hazmat training'.
On Wednesday 30 June from 11.20 - 11.50 hrs Brian Taylor, Head
of Incident Command Development, presents 'The route to Qualified
Incident Commander'
In addition to the seminars, the Fire
Service College will also be exhibiting
