This year's Annual Fire and Rescue Service Chaplains'
Association (FRSCA) Conference is once again being held at the Fire
Service College and takes place between 13-15 September
2011.
The object of the Conference is to discuss matters of mutual
concern; to encourage and foster good practice; to listen to a
variety of speakers on Chaplaincy matters, and to enjoy the company
of other chaplains in the beautiful surroundings of the
College.
Chaplains who have attended previous FRSCA Conferences
enjoy worship sessions in the College Chapel
and especially look forward to meeting the usual wide range of
Worship Leaders. FRSCA is an inter-faith as well
as œcumenical association for anyone who fulfils a Chaplaincy
or Faith-Leadership role in the Fire and Rescue Services.
A highlight for this year's
Conference will be a keynote speech from Bob Neill MP,
Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Fire and Resilience in
the Department of Communities and Local Government, and a joint
service and meeting with the Firefighters Memorial
Trust.
Nick Rutter, National Secretary FRSCA, comments that "Fire
Service Chaplains from the length and breadth of the United Kingdom
and Islands are looking forward to coming to the Fire Service
College for their Annual Conference. The excellent facilities
provided by the College help us to provide a professional standard
of presentation and discussion.
